Word Menus

This Startup Template will re-create the standard Word Menu Bar in Word version 2007.

Word 2007 has changed the menu structure/geography.  And some folks aren't crazy about the change.

This template solution revives the older menu structure by placing in it in an add-in.

This utility is free.

Vertical

Horizontal with Toolbar

Pop out with Toolbar

Adding the Word Menu Bar to the Quick Access Tool Bar

  1. Install WorkMenus.dot -- The Horizontal versions work best for this...

  2. Open Word.

  3. Click on the Add-ins Tab.

  4. Right click on top of the Custom Toolbar (File Edit etc etc)

  5. Select  Add Group to Quick Access  Tool Bar

An icon that looks like stacked buttons has been added to your Quick Access  Toolbar  Click on it and you will see:

Neat, unh?

Any custom toolbar that has been installed, either in your startup folder or because the current document is base on a pre-Word 2007 template that has a custom toolbar, will now show up from this Quick Access icon.
